Oluremi Tinubu 65th birthday is marked with tributes from leaders praising her leadership, compassion, and impact through the Renewed Hope Initiative
Oluremi Tinubu 65th birthday has drawn heartfelt tributes from across Nigeria, as traditional rulers, political leaders, and dignitaries joined in honouring the First Lady’s legacy of service, compassion, and principled leadership.
The Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Akeem Owoade, praised Senator Tinubu’s moral clarity and deep commitment to the nation.
In a statement through his Director of Media and Publicity, Bode Durojaiye, the monarch described her as “a role model who has exhibited uncommon wisdom, remarkable vision, and exemplary leadership.”
“She is someone whom people can rely upon,” Oba Owoade remarked. “She makes promises and keeps them. Her sincerity and integrity define her public service.”
The monarch also highlighted her compassion and responsible approach to governance.
“She loves people with all her heart, might, mind, and soul—a true mark of a responsible leader,” he said. “She finds joy in service, not in personal gain.”
Praying for her continued strength, the Alaafin said her leadership has made “a positive impact on the lives of many” and commended her role in shaping a more compassionate Nigeria.
Also celebrating Oluremi Tinubu at 65, the wife of the Anambra State Governor, Mrs Nonye Soludo, described the First Lady as “a perfect example of selfless service, excellence, grace, and kindness.”
On behalf of women and children in Anambra, Soludo said, “Your life is a perfect example of what selfless service should be. May this fresh start restore unto you sound health, greater wisdom, and abundant grace to continue to serve and live for humanity.”
She concluded her tribute in Yoruba, adding, “Kí Ọlọrun tún ti fi agbara fún yín!” (May God continue to strengthen you!).
Former Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Betta Edu, added her voice to the chorus of admiration, calling Tinubu “an epitome of grace, compassion, and kindness.”
Edu specifically commended the Renewed Hope Initiative, a flagship programme led by the First Lady, for delivering impactful interventions to vulnerable families, women, and young people across the nation.
“At 65, your light continues to shine through challenging times,” Edu said. “You represent hope for the Nigerian woman. Leadership, in your hands, is tender yet firm—compassionate yet principled.”
She prayed for continued strength and described Tinubu as a “Mother of the Nation” whose legacy is already making a national impact.
The tributes underscore the growing recognition of Oluremi Tinubu’s role not just as a ceremonial figure, but as an active advocate for social change, women’s empowerment, and youth development.
Her work through the Renewed Hope Initiative has brought real, measurable improvements to lives across Nigeria.
As the First Lady marks this milestone, the outpouring of support reflects a broader appreciation of her contributions—and a national hope that her journey of service continues to inspire.
