Speaking during a recent episode of the Echo Room podcast in Lagos, Ashmusy said the procedure has eased her concerns about what she described as societal pressure linked to the idea of a “biological clock”.

Her marriage discussion comes as the influencer reflected on her personal journey, revealing that she once considered marrying a man she knew was not ideal for her due to fear of delaying motherhood.

She said the experience made her rethink what she described as rushed decisions often driven by pressure rather than compatibility, adding that many women enter relationships too quickly because of fear surrounding age and fertility expectations.

Ashmusy stated that she now feels more secure in her choices, stressing that while she still desires marriage, she is no longer desperate to make life-altering decisions under pressure.

“I want to get married, but I am not desperate,” she said during the podcast. “I am already safeguarded. I am sure of being a mum by God’s grace.”

The media personality also noted that freezing her eggs has provided her with alternative pathways to motherhood in the future, allowing her to plan her family life with greater confidence and reduced anxiety.

Her comments have sparked conversations online around modern relationships, fertility decisions and the evolving choices available to women balancing career, marriage and motherhood expectations.
