Bauchi State anthem logo project aims to boost patriotism and identity, alongside erosion control, youth training, and farming support under the #MyBauchiproject
Bauchi State is set to develop a State anthem and logo as part of efforts to promote patriotism and restore its cultural identity. The decision was announced following an Executive Council meeting chaired by Governor Bala Mohammed.
The Bauchi State anthem logo initiative, according to Information Commissioner Alhaji Usman Shehu Usman, will serve as a symbol of unity and pride, especially among young citizens. He explained the anthem and logo would reflect the state’s values and history.
“This development is in line with our administration’s commitment to a new Bauchi under the #MyBauchiproject,” he said.
In addition to the identity project, the Executive Council approved erosion control projects across three local government areas—Kirfi, Alkaleri, and Bauchi—with over ₦900 million allocated to counter severe environmental degradation.
Commissioner for Housing and Environment, Danlami Ahmed Kawule, also revealed plans to train 1,000 youths in modern agricultural methods, with the goal of enhancing food security and productivity.
To support farmers, the government has directed the subsidised sale of fertilisers at ₦20,000 to aid wet season farming.
The state further vowed to curb criminal activity in the Lame Bura Game Reserve, where land encroachment has become a pressing security concern.
A resident shared his view, saying, “This project is a step toward unity. We need symbols that remind us of who we are.”
With plans underway for erosion control in the state capital under the World Bank-supported ACReSAL project, Bauchi’s government is keen on turning policy into tangible impact.
