Falz marriage advice encourages young people to prioritise growth and maturity before getting married, sparking debate among fans online

Folarin Falana, Nigerian rapper and actor popularly known as Falz, has advised young people to consider waiting until their 30s before getting married, saying greater emotional, financial and mental maturity often comes with age.

Falz shared his views during an episode of The BTS Reality Podcast, where he discussed personal development, life experiences and the pressure many young people face to settle down early.

The 35-year-old entertainer said people in their 20s are often still discovering themselves and building the foundations needed for long-term decisions.

“Getting married in your 30s is the best. Don’t let anyone pressure you into getting married before 30,” Falz said.

“By your 30s, you have gained more life experiences. In your 20s, you are still figuring yourself out. Your 20s are for learning, growing, and enjoying life. In your 30s, you combine all the knowledge and try to direct your life. So, it is better to wait till your 30s before getting married,” he added.

The advice has generated mixed reactions among social media users, with some agreeing that emotional readiness and compatibility are more important than meeting a particular age target.

Others argued that successful marriages depend more on finding the right partner, shared values and commitment rather than waiting until a specific stage of life.
