Olubadan designate Rashidi Ladoja says he will not delay appointments to vacant chieftaincy titles following the death of Oba Olakulehin, aged 90

Olubadan designate Rashidi Ladoja has pledged to promptly fill all vacant positions in the Olubadan chieftaincy line, following the passing of the 43rd Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Owolabi Olakulehn, who died at age 90.

Ladoja made the assurance in a statement issued by his spokesman, Adeola Oloko, during a meeting with Oba Abiodun Kola-Daisi, the Asipa Olubadan of Ibadanland, at his Lagos residence.

“There would be no delay in filling every pending vacancy in the Olubadan chieftaincy line,” Ladoja said.

Kabiyesi Olakulehin lived an impactful life and gave a good account of himself

He also paid tribute to the late monarch, describing him as a ruler who lived an impactful life and gave a good account of his leadership.

“Kabiyesi Olakulehin lived an impactful life and gave a good account of himself,” Ladoja added.

The respected elder statesman and former Governor of Oyo State emphasized that the smooth succession tradition of Ibadan will be upheld.

Oba Olakulehin passed away on July 7, 202, just days before his first coronation anniversary.
