The artist made the remarks while reflecting on his career journey and the role his home country has played in shaping his achievements in the music industry.

Shatta Wale said he became financially successful through opportunities available in Ghana, where he also enjoys strong support from fans, event organisers and public officials.

According to him, the local industry has provided enough recognition and reward to sustain his career without relying heavily on international bookings.

“I’ve always seen myself as this international star that you know I just need to work on my stuff. I can get paid 1million dollars in Ghana. I didn’t get rich anywhere, I got rich in Ghana,” he said.

The musician added that he believes his brand is strong enough to command significant earnings locally, including performances worth up to $1 million.

He also noted that he enjoys considerable respect from political leaders, ministers and entertainment stakeholders in Ghana, which further strengthens his position in the industry.
